Sorry, it has been a few days since I have posted . . . . I have been stampin' just really busy!!! Saturday I spent the day at the Summer Smash Stampin' Bash with my buddies Rhonda & Diana. While stampin' all day was fun . . . I didn't feel to well by the time I got home . . . so needless to say no posts or more projects for you! BUT be on the look out I have some cute goodies coming your way this week.
So lets start with Mr. Twigster . . . this is my swap card for Saturday's Stampin' Bash. I played a little with the Big Shot for the "Snowflake" and "Peace". I also used the Heat & Stick powder "SUCCESSFULLY" for the 1st time ever! That alone is reason to celebrate! I don't know why I have had such problems with it in the past, but it was really easy . . .the trick is not to over heat!!!
So here is how I did it . . .
-
Card Base - 8.5x5.5 Very Vanilla
-
Bashful Blue layer is 4x5.25 - texture is using the Bashful Blue ink pad directly to the paper
-
Cut a Snowflake from the Big Shot - cut it in 1/2 and sponge the edges with Creamy Carmel. Layer it behind a 4x2 piece of Frosty Day designer series paper. I also layered a strip of Tangerine Tango that had been punched with the scallop punch.
-
Wrap piece of Old Olive 5/8 Grosgrain ribbon around Layers. Tie a knot.
-
Mr. Twigster is layered with the following:
- Chocolate Chip Circle (I cut mine with the Cricut, you can use a coluzzle or any Circle cutter you have)
- A Layer of Frosty Day Designer Series Paper cut 1/4" smaller than the chocolate chip layer.
- Stamp Mr. Twigster in Chocolate Chip on a piece of Very Vanilla. Watercolor when punch with the 1 3/4 inch circle punch. Sponge edges with Creamy Carmel. Layer it with dimensionals off center on the Frosty Day circle.
- Layer it with Dimensionals onto card.
- Peace Embellishment
- Using a 2x3 piece of Kiwi Kiss and cut the section that says Peace using your Big Shot.
- Take the Versa Mark pad and directly apply it to the cut "Peace" covering the entire surface
- Cover inked Peace with Heat & Stick Powder
- Heat with heat tool (do not over heat, only heat until the powder melts)
- Cover with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
- Set the Glitter with your heat tool (again, don't over heat or your embellishment will not sparkle as much)
- Layer on your card with Glue Dots
