Meet my 2 four legged friends Pixie & Moto. They kinda rule our house, but we love them! While it may just look like I have been playing with My Digital Studio I really have been working. I discovered a few things today. . .
- Making a background is pretty easy. I placed a stamped image of the fire hydrant in the background, colored it Night of Navy, lowered the opacity so that it looked like tone on tone stamping, then I rotated the image. After you have the image how you want it just copy and paste all over the background changing the rotation as you go until you have the back ground how you want it. I did add my background after the photos where placed so that I didn't have to place images where it would be covered up by a picture. Just make sure to send the background image to the back so it resides behind your picture.
- My 2nd tip is that I wanted to do a mirrored page. So as soon as I finished Moto's Page I went to the "INSERT" menu and selected "INSERT A DUPLICATE PAGE MIRRORED" I then had an exact duplicate page mirror. I replaced the images with Pixie's photos, changed the headline & journalining and made a few tweaks to how some of the elements were flipped and VOILA. I had a 2 page spread.
So, for you tradional scrappers that are not quite ready to take the digital plunge how about this? This software is a great tool for planning your pages. You can figure out your layout and embellishments ahead of time and print out a scrapmap to take with you to crops. That way you don't have to pack all your supplies - just what you know you will need.
Enjoy!
